Golf Season 2024

Welcome back! It’s that amazing time of year! The day is about to last longer, the weather is warming up in the cooler parts of the nation, and some of the best tournaments in golf will soon be taking place for all of us to enjoy.

Being from Palm Beach County Florida, it’s exciting being so close to a PGA event in the Cognizant Classic (formerly known as the Honda Classic – which they should have remained, I mean Cognizant? Come on.). But the tournament usually does not host some of golf’s bigger names due to the fact that it is so close to other, bigger tournaments. Now that the Waste Management Open is behind us, which typically kicks off the season for the more prestigious tournaments, we are already up to the Arnold Palmer Classic, then to the Players Championship, and the Masters right around the corner.

Pair this with daylight savings and the true beginning of our golf year is upon us! Even though some people are fortunate enough to play year round, we are finally in that magical time. It will no longer be dark so early where we can’t finish a round, the first major is coming up which will not divide us between the PGA Tour and LIV, and we can all just bask in the enjoyment of the sport we love.

I hope everyone is as excited as we are! Even though the PGA/LIV situation seems to be hurting the fans more than anyone else, there is at least hope of the issues being resolved in the future, and we can at least all enjoy the 4 majors this year in which all the best golfers in the world will compete, regardless of what tour they are a part of.

So get some rest, but not too much as pretty soon you’ll be glued to that couch ready to sit back and watch the best of the best tee off…go to the store to get some pimento cheese to recreate the famous Masters sandwich (personally not a fan – I’ll take a normal grilled cheese), and clean off those clubs, it’s time to book those tee times and go back to the biggest love/hate relationship of your life!
